A faunistic survey was carried out on ground beetles over the course of 2012-2013 in four localities from Northern Tunisia. These insects were collected mainly by hand and by pitfall traps. The habitat type inhabiting the Carabidae species is also discussed. In total 68 species belonging to 51 genera, 24 tribes, and 9 subfamilies were found, whose eight species are new records for Tunisia and 10 species are endemic to northern Africa. The present study gives new faunistic data and better knowledge on biogeography of such less studied fauna of the Mediterranean basinDownloads
