Abstract

In this study, we report 8 new species of pyraloid moths for the fauna of Tajikistan, which have not previously been recorded in the region. They were collected in various habitats in the territory of Tajikistan and during different seasons. These findings significantly expand our knowledge of the species diversity of Pyraloidea in the region. Additionally, the study provides a preliminary list of the pyraloid moths known from Tajikistan, making it a valuable resource for further faunistic research of this group of Lepidoptera in Central Asia. Given the difficult topography and limited previous research, it is likely that there are additional, yet undiscovered species in the high-altitude and less studied regions of Tajikistan.
