A New Species of Genus Neelus Folsom, 1896 (Collembola: Neelidae) from Himalayan Region of Sikkim, India

Abstract

This paper describes with a new species of the genus Neelus Folsom, 1896. The species,named Neelus sikkimensis sp. nov. is reported from India for first time.The paper includes a comprehensive comparative table and an identification key for all known species of Neelus. Additionally, it provides insights into the distribution and ecological characteristics of species within the genus.
